Centre Co Director
Angela D'Valda Sirico
Originally from England, Angela received her early training from one of Margot Fonteyn’s childhood teacher, Carol Bateman, in Hong Kong. She later attended the Arts Educational Trust both at Tring, Hertfordshire and London where she had the privilege of being trained by Beryl Grey, Tamara Karsavina, and Ruth French. She was invited to perform with the Festival Ballet in London, but decided instead to continue her studies in the United States with Matt Mattox, Martha Graham, Jaime Rogers and Luigi. Angela began an extremely varied professional career performing on Broadway and touring with Disney on Parade. Contracted to the Teatro National in Buenos Aires, she performed as a soloist and choreographed for a weekly television series. From there, Angela moved to Madrid where she formed her own dance group and choreographed for television, film and theatres throughout Europe. After a tour to the Far East she flew back to the U.S.A. to choreograph and stage a T.V. special out of Tampa.
